Itinerary In Detail

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, open grasslands, and seasonal wetlands. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and many different bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your wildlife exploration in the afternoon. Later, leave the park and continue to your selected mid-range lodge in the Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. After entering the park, begin your game drive while heading toward your lodge or tented camp. Serengeti is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and many other species. Depending on the season and location of the herds, there may also be an opportunity to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive In Serengeti National Park

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out for a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park. Your experienced safari guide will take you to different areas of the park where there are good opportunities to see wildlife and enjoy the Serengeti landscape. Possible sightings include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge or tented camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

During the game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, antelopes, and many different bird species. After leaving the crater, continue to your mid-range lodge in the Karatu area for dinner and overnight.
