Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park. You may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic area before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, depart Tarangire and continue toward Karatu, where you will check in at your campsite.

Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. Enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing along the way as you travel toward the vast Serengeti plains. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin a game drive while making your way toward your campsite. The Serengeti is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and many other species. Depending on the season and location of the herds, you may also have the opportunity to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day’s activities before continuing your wildlife exploration.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, spend a full day exploring the magnificent Serengeti National Park. Explore different areas of the park while searching for the Big Five and other wildlife.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular morning game drive. The crater is famous for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. During the game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, antelopes, and numerous bird species. There is also an opportunity to see the endangered black rhinoceros, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the afternoon. Continue toward Lake Manyara National Park, where you will enjoy an afternoon game drive depending on your arrival time. Lake Manyara is known for its scenic landscapes, large elephant populations, diverse birdlife, and beautiful groundwater forests. Later, proceed to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
